Our Story

NEARLY 90 YEARS OF SHELBURNE HOCKEY

The Shelburne Muskies are one of Dufferin County's oldest sports organizations, with roots dating back to approximately 1935. Through decades of competition, community championships, and a passionate fanbase, the Muskies have been a cornerstone of hockey in the region.

After a two-year hiatus following the transition from the WOAA, the club returned in May 2025 as an approved expansion franchise in the Ontario Elite Hockey League — bringing Senior AA hockey back to Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex where it belongs.

A HISTORY WORTH CELEBRATING

From their founding in 1935 to a championship dynasty in the 1990s and a triumphant return to the OEHL in 2025, the Shelburne Muskies have always been more than a hockey team — they're a community institution.

The club's most celebrated era includes the 1997-98 WOAA Senior "A" Championship and multiple county-era titles. After a two-year hiatus, the Muskies are writing the next chapter.
